Is that a converted steering wheel? because I don't see a lot of radio antennaes on the same side of the driver.

No. The general shape is similar, but no detail fits.

.. and who are you to say no, just like that? If it's not an Ambassador, what is it, then? I think it matches pretty good.

I'd go for the Ambassador, too.

It's so thick... probably a CB antenna or something.

Lateef: I'm saying no because the AMC Ambassador does not have rear vent-windows like this one has, and the front vent-windows are shaped different, and the AMC Ambassador doesn't have so much chrome strips under and above the door handles http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/2659/4561/31647280001_large.jpg

Lateef, the one in my link was also a '66, yet the one in your link looks a lot different from the one in my link. Was the one in your link made for a foreign market or something?

Doesn't the one in your link have a vinyl roof or is that painted? That would cover the vent windows.

Actually, the one in your link is in fact a 1967, not a 1966. If you found it by search as a 1966, it was probably mislabeled.

I inspected your link more closely, and I scrolled down to the guestbook to check for comments, this was the first that I stumbled upon:

Quote Nice car. The only problem is that this car is no '66. It's a '67 and is a completely different car then a '66. Different body, different engines etc.

So, like I said, a common case of mislabeling

OK, so I agree on AMC Ambassador then.
