Marrant: à la taille du moteur et des pneus, je parierais pas pour une 550. Mais bien plus pour une XT 250 (ce qui cadre mieux avec les caches latéraux, en plus... |

It's an XT250 throughout. Never changes machines. The only thing that was done to the bike was for the scene where Stallone pulls the rider off the back. They extended the footpeg so it would keep the levers/throttle off the ground so Stallone would have no issues when picking it up. -- Last edit: 2012-01-09 20:23:40 |

they added 2-stroke sound in the movie instead of the original 4-stroke sound |

It always makes me really angry, when they change the original sound of a bike. -- Last edit: 2012-03-30 22:40:57 |

I'm a big First Blood fan, I have an exact 1982 XT 250J In "Chappy Red". I was pretty sure it was an XT throughout but rewatching it closely to "debunk" I noticed a different tank. Also there are two shots where you can tell the bike is being pulled probably on a trailer. The handlebars change to black for these shots. The TT had no turn signals/headlight so they would have had to add those and switch the tank which isn't hard but I think unlikely they got a TT. A post on Thumpertalk that sounds informed says production had 3 XT250's and one had the silver tank. There is one scene heavily shot behind trees but you can make it the stunt man doing a jump. I think this is where the TT theory comes from. They still blacked out the gas tank. The TT had a similar tank color. This is the screencap I posted. All set photos I've found are the XT. The bike had no rear turn signals and the gas tank which is normally all red was painted black everywhere except the sides. So in short, assuming they had 3 bikes, I'm gonna guess one hero bike for actual riding, one used for the trailer shots that had black bars. And the silver one used in a shot where they left the silver tank on it. I see no credible evidence of a TT. |
