I'd say Ambiente trim. Made for NL |

This exact vehicle was also used in ''Mijn skateboard (2004)'' Same license plate, ''ZG-BR-29''. It's a Ghia model by the way. |

Yep. Plate check confirms. Ford Focus Wagon 1.6-16V Ghia Eerste toelating nationaal 29-04-1999 https://finnik.nl/kenteken/zgbr29 |

Yeah I saw, checked it there too. Been used as a coporate vehicle for 20 years before it got scrapped. |

We cannot acquire NL VINs correct? |

Cannot be a Ghia, the chrome trim is missing. I believe when finnik.nl gives the drop down menu with the trim levels, it doesn't mean one in particular but shows all the possible alternatives |

Could have been in accident. This one also says Ghia so I think Finnik is pretty accurate. -- Last edit: 2023-05-13 23:25:03 |

I'm uneasy about Ghia too - in UK at least they had alloys, body-coloured mirrors, fogs in lower grille, a slightly different grille with horizontal slats instead of mesh, a thin shiny strip along bumper top and tints. This looks more like mid-spec LX (or NL equivalent). |

Here is another Ghia. https://finnik.nl/kenteken/09dlns Link to "www.cartradenass.nl" No chrome inserts either. Were trims different in NL then? @alex finnik doesn’t default to Ghia. Here is one that pulls Trend. Link to "www.autouncle.nl" https://finnik.nl/kenteken/zdsl05 -- Last edit: 2023-05-14 00:27:23 |

Main car definitely doesn't seem a Ghia, by lack of painted mirrors and chrome-lined grille. Also it doesn't seem to have the Ghia side badge. It's either an Ambiente or Trend (can't see the wheelcovers, maybe they are even supermarket ones, and the cloth type of the interior isn't visible). The RWD-Data site just says it's a 1.6i, so it's a bit in-conclusive if it's a Ghia model or not... About Finnik, it is usually pretty correct in the models, though I have seen ghia models without that ghia badge at the back before. About the vin numbers, no we cannot get that unless we actually see the car for ourselves. |
◊ 2023-05-14 14:53 |
![]() Also this car does have a grille with horizontal slats. |
◊ 2023-05-14 15:12 |
Compare with this Ghia - looks like a Ford pr photo![]() - I don't think our subject car has slats, just the ordinary mesh with some horizontal edges within the pattern. |

Eh, the subject car also does not have the ghia badge or anything, it looks basic. I think we can say that it's a ambient model... Sorry for my mistake, it's just that it's being registered as a Ghia, which makes it a bit confusing... Searching up another Ambient model on Marktplaats (dutch ebay) returns it's license plate back as a Ghia too... Finnik is not always correct. |

Removing trim level then and we can rest assured finnik is indeed not always accurate. |
