Someone must have thought it was a good idea - hopefully their line manager has realised that further training is needed. |

True, but at least Nissan's being a 'daring' brand, unlike that bland, beige company, Toyota. I mean, look at the Xterra, the Juke, the Quest, the GT-R. Nissan still knows how to make fun and stylish (not so much 'fun' for the Quest as it is stylish). Toyota is bland (except for the Matrix, FJ Cruiser, Tacoma, Tundra and Land Cruiser), and Honda isn't as bland, but they're definitely losing their touch in the US market (the new Civic, the Crosstour abomination, the CR-Z (which is not as sporty as Honda says it is, even with a manual transmission). Nissan, though, still likes to try new, interesting things. Sure, the CrossCabriolet isn't as gorgeous as a 458 Spyder, or a Drophead Coupe, but it's more interesting than most of what Toyota and Honda sell here in the US. |

Daring and boldness does not mean something has to be willfully ugly. I think of cars like the outgoing Euro model Honda Civic, the Renault Megane II and Laguna II, the Peugeot RCZ and some of the newer Kias (Sportage in particular) as cars which manage to be distinctive as well as not ugly. -- Last edit: 2011-10-01 02:01:48 |

Agreed. This vehicle is daring, and I don't think it's ugly for it's looks, I just think it's out of proportion for a convertible crossover (see the GM/Suzuki small convertible SUV (Tracker/Sidekick/Escudo) for an example as how to do it right). |
