Not too surprising, as in his http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad_Reza_Pahlavi times the Iran was quite Western orientated and the richer people with access to Western money (quite a lot, as many Western companies, especially West German, made big deals there) had a big faible for Western premium goods. BMW was popular there, too. |
