This is a Fiat Spidereuropa Volumex, one of 460 made by Pinifarina in 1983 or 1984 as the final supercharged version of the 124 Spider. Wheels, metallic red, small round side indicators and coachline all match. Nice find. |

Yes, it's the last series of 124 Spider (CS) sold at the beginning only in the US; in Europe cames later and was named Pininfarina SpiderEuropa; right? |

I think it is specifically identifiable as the final 1983+ VX which my info says was sold as Fiat, although agree 1982+ (non-VX) Spiders were sold as Pininfarina SpiderEuropa. |

In West Germany they started in 1984/85 to sell the US-version for one reason: it had a catalysator. So this was the first car here, which was offered officially with it. While all other companies were busy with constructiong them, Fiat just took the US-version. Same did Alfa Romeo with the Spider. This was the no.2 here. |
