Probably some sort of DaimlerChrysler captive import, maybe a Colt or an Eagle. -- Last edit: 2006-06-16 02:02:01 |

You must mean Chrysler, not DaimlerChrysler (which was created by the merger of Daimler-Benz with Chrysler in 1998). -- Last edit: 2006-06-16 02:08:20 |

Car is 1984-1988 Mitsubishi Mirage but hood emblem looks like that of the Chrsyler's former "Eagle/Jeep" division which sold ex-Renault models (Premier, Medallion) and some rebadged Mitsubishis during late 80's-early 90's in USA. -- Last edit: 2006-06-16 03:40:46 |

I think it might be a Renault Medallion. |

The Renault Medallion was called the Eagle Medallion in North America. |

Looks like a Nissan to me. |

This car is definately a 1985-88 Mitubishi Mirage and not a Nissan - see pic : Link to "www.cars-directory.net" The Renault/Eagle Medallion was the US version of the Renault 21. See : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_21 |

US Mitsubishi Colt? It's a little bit different I think. |

I also think this is a Mitsubishi Mirage (Lancer in Europe). |

I think this is a Dodge Colt /vehicle_35988-Dodge-Colt-1988.html |

I think Diehard is right. |

1984 |

This Probally must be named Mitsubishi Mirage, since the Dodge Colt name was used for the hatchback versions??? |

Mitsubishis weren't sold in Canada at the time, so this is either a Dodge/Plymouth Colt or an Eagle Vista. |

Actually, that appears an Eagle logo on the hood, so this is presumably an Eagle Vista (ever though almost every one I can find has the logo on the grille...). |

1987 was the first year for those lights and no Mirage in Canada as Mitsubishi started offering their vehicles under the Mitsubishi name in 2003 so Colt or Vista only -- Last edit: 2015-04-11 14:32:05 |

Like I said above, the badge is that of an Eagle, so definitely Vista. |
◊ 2015-04-11 14:33 |
i was saying that because the pic is billed as 1985 Mitsubishi Mirage |
◊ 2015-04-12 01:26 |
So... Change to 1987 Eagle Vista? |
◊ 2019-06-02 04:00 |
Looks like the first year for the Vista was 1988, not 1987: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle_Vista |
◊ 2019-06-02 04:41 |
why the logo isn't on the grille ? |
◊ 2019-06-02 04:43 |
I just noticed that. It might be the Mitsubishi Mirage then. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Mirage#1983 |

both locations on imdb are in Manitoba, they won't see a real Mitsubishi until 2003 ( unless grey import or visitor, of course ) |

This commercial shows the Vista without the badge on the grille but that's all I can find: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InDZafvDuH0 |

weird.. one of my friends mom had one and it had the logo on the grille.. ( but i'm not sure of the exact year, it was 30 years ago... ) or the earlier ones were that way.. -- Last edit: 2019-06-02 04:55:37 |

Maybe it was a production change that went unnoticed? |
