Looks like a Land Rover Santana FC made by Santana in Spain. Doors and hood dont match the once made by Rover (England) but there is made so many special purpose vehicles its hard to say.

How many Forward Control Land-Rovers are on this site?

10 across various series and types.

This one is a Series II of some sort rather than the better known later model but I'm not enough of an L Rover expert to say.

But looks RHD in main. I'm no LR expert either, but looks very like Forward Control 109/110" - compare to http://www.vintageadgallery.com/id14.html# . Also http://www.allisons.org/ll/4/LandRover/FC/ which suggests 1966+ 110" S2b FC from lower headlights.

See also our only other S2b FC 110" and marklandynut's comment that they were built in ZA - /vehicle_86567-Land-Rover-110---Series-IIb-FC-1966.html .

My little research did not turn up anything, but it is very likely that these were assembled from CKD kits in ZA (probably in the Stanley Motors' National Assembly Plant in Natalspruit, Johannesburg, alongside Rootes Group vehicles, Hudson, Citroens, et al). The South African Defense Force used to use quite a few of these, which would have made it worthwhile assembling them locally.

It is not a 101, It looks like a 110 series 2B I have owned both types and I am sure it is a 2B.

The headlights on the 2B where lower than the original Model 2A forward Control, and at the same time, the introduction of the 2B to replace the 2A saw the indicators and the side lights swap position with the lower lamp then raised several inches higher. The lights are in the right position for this to be a 110" F.C. series 2B. The only thing worrying me is the windscreen seems to have rounded corners, as if the glass is put into rubber. The Solihull built 2B's had a galvanised steel windscreen frame, with square corners. Could therefore be built under licence
