K 1 August 1971 – 31 July 1972, if it is real the plate. |

They stopped making these in the mid-sixties. |

Okay, but use a plate for the early 70's. |

Car is 62-66, plate is genuine issue Aug-Sept 71, but how they came together is an unanswerable question now. Edit - car date is 62-64 with early all-white sidelights. -- Last edit: 2011-11-27 17:15:11 |

When i was at school my friends dad had an old Austin 1300 which had been imported from one of the channel islands in 1978 and had been given that years 'T' reg letter. Similar situation for this zephyr maybe?... or could be a just false plate for movie. |

Another possibility: didn't the Ministry of Defence have, and subsequently sell off, some Zephyr 6s? |

At least three contracts were placed for a number of Zephyr 6s of this type as GB army staff cars, 02EL??, 76EL?? and 32EP?? as this example /vehicle_40195-Ford-Zephyr-6-213E-1962.html |

Vanguards did a model VA60001 of a Mk3 Zephyr 4 RAF bomb disposal car with plate 25AM44 - http://www.transport-models.com/picture/number630.asp . |

Another possibility is that the Z6 originally had a cherished plate and was given a new number when this was transferred. 1971 was some years before age-related retro issue numbers were introduced. |
