It has side indicators, so probably not a "made for D"-car. I cannot find the issue of the "Oldtimer Markt" with the article about the probably only existing Sceptre -a Humber, not a Sunbeam!- in Germany It was origally sold here, so a realy rarity. But it has a vinyl roof. And it was for sale shortly after the story was released. I've seen that specific car 3 years ago on the car-sale-yard on the "Veterama". |

All Arrow-based Sceptres had side indicators from Oct 67 launch, UK and export (and all Arrow-based Sceptre saloons had vinyl roof, though not the rare Oct 74 onwards Estate). German-language Sunbeam Sceptre brochure at http://www.paykanhunter.com/2011/03/hallo.html - though may or may not have been meant for Germany as we have a few Austrian Sunbeam-badged Rootes models (and did German-speaking parts of Switzerland also get German-language brochures?). Maybe a few Sceptres were sold in Germany - presumably through Simca-Chrysler dealers - but would be very surprised at Humber badging - everywhere else in Europe (at least) was Sunbeam for all Rootes after 1966. |

The car is not for sale, as it's not ours to sell - this is only a picture-database. |
