Maybe they don't have jokes about the other. Like the plenty of jokes about Belgians, you can hear in the Netherlands. Or about the Scottish from English people.

All these comments and nobody said it is a Ford Corcel Coupe, 1969. The Tourquoise blue is the same for Chevies 55-56.

It is real that Ford Corcel is a derivative from R-12 Renault. Willys Overland do Brasil (licensed by Renault)had the design ready in 67, when Ford Brasil bought them. The R-12 design had been reinforced by Willys and then, by Ford. The result was a heavy, but foreveryoung automobile. Driving in Brazil, you will find cities where Corcel (type 1)is the most popular car due to the rigidity of construction.

If you compare Brazilian Corcel with French or Argentine R-12, you must consider each country roads, because are different cars for different purposes. But the above jokes are real, I'd like them.

I think that is absolutely horrible, a comparison of the original car (R-12) and not necessary to create this monstrosity. I understand from your blind fanaticism at you, but this is indefensible

I've never seen such a car in reality, but just from the optic it's not a "monstrosity" for me. The typical shape and the typical design-indigrents of a late-60ies car.

O.k., it's not a moment of glory of the car-design-history, as it's looking a bit faceless and not all parts are well-proportioned in relation, but there were worse design-crimes.

Weird, as far as the record tells, Corcel was launched before the Renault 12. That's just because the "M" project (so called at the time by Willys - and "project 117" for the Renault version) was a result of a joint ventury between Willys Overland and Renault. The 12 isn\'t the "original car" since the project development was simultaneous, not to say Willys (then bought by Ford) was one step ahead and gave birth to Corcel two years earlier than Renault did with his french cousin (1968 and 1970, respectively).
Now, adding insult to the injury, that Renault 12 rear is uglier than beating the crap out of your own mother, with a baseball bat, in Christmas. I do agree both cars aren't the best we have when it comes to automotive design (not at all), but if you take a good look it's just noticeable the Corcel is still better in styling than the 12 (not only in my opinion, just take a look around the reviews from then).
