Err, not really correct. The brochure says "The VW Limousine is available in two versions, Standard and Export". The Sonnendach is described as an optional extra, available for the Standard and the Export. When a Sonnendach was ordered, it wasn't added to the name. It even was not used to name a trim-line. The two trim-lines were Standard and Export. |

The text about Limousine belongs to the previous page, which wasn´t evident, but if you read further down it says that VW Sonnendach is available in Standard and Export trim. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/56oval/page3.jpg http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/56oval/page4.jpg Here´s a 1950 example VW Sonnendach-Limousine: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/51sales6.jpg http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/51sales7.jpg And 1953, modelnames are printed in capital letters. @DAF555: in German all substantives are written with a capital letter as first, not only names. ![]() |
