I want this car. Maybe I sound a bit crazy but this is one car I've always wanted to have. I wonder how easy it is to buy 'Aleko 2141' from Estonia/Russia and bring it to Finland?

No wonder that. It was (is) quite suprisining car, far better than people suppose.
I remember the autor of 1993 road test in "Auto-Motor-Sport" was amazed how it nice drove and rode.
Of course, not so good as first leauge Western cars, however much firmer, quieter, and more surefooted than WAZ-2104/2105/2107 or FSO Polonez Caro.

I doubt that there is even one of these in Finland. The Moskvich importer decided not to bring 'Aleko' to Finland. I remember big headlines when this car was in development in early 1980's. Many Moskvich owners waited a new 'Talbot 1510' copy to come replace their older model Moskvich's.

Russia will be a problem, as they have strict import/export rules. Don't you as a Finnish citizen also need a visa?

To buy one in Estonia is very easy. It's EU, also one of the Schengen-countries and in January you'll even have the € there, too. No passport, no border-controls and then you take the ferry, you even can buy cheap alcohol.
The other direction is probably more in use. So my friend's K 70 and the most cars of his friends in their Estonian classic-car-club were brought from Finland.

I even can add a little anecdote. ;) In 2003 I've visited my K 70-friend there. When the ferry on the way back arrived in Rostock-Warnemünde, the car-deck-stuff was quite irritated. Everyone has left the ferry - except a Volga M 21. Noone comes to this car. They opened it somehow and have pushed it on the quay. Maybe it was picked up later on.

I'm sorry, my mistake...

I was looking at A294AB77, a red 1993 21412.

A294AB97, however, belong to a 1999 214122...

Though the plate looks quite fake, it does seem to be real - there was a more real-looking plate attached to this one before it was covered by this. However, that plate (O863CT150) goes to a '99 GAZ 33021, and in the episode it was applied to such a truck (on the right)

So in short, the other plate was mounted on, then off the Moskvitch and back onto the car it actually belonged to. By the way, normal 2141 or Svyatogor?
