UK used E, S and SE (then GTI/GT TDI, V5 etc). We also had weird GTIs that no one from outside the UK thinks look like their GTIs. Guessing Trendline is probably an S in UK language? -- Last edit: 2019-09-14 20:01:55 |

Nearly everywhere the trim levels had the same name, except in the UK. E seems to be the basic Golf, S is Comfortline and SE is Trendline then. GT TDI is could be Highline and GTI is GTI. For the Golf IV GTI was just a higher and sporty trim level as R line today. |

It looks from Glass's description as if black bump strip in colour-coded bumpers was E and S in UK, while SE had completely colour-coded. So is this S?? |

SE/Trendline weren't always fully painted, too. Example for cheap looking SE: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1135049 |

If SE, made for GB then. |
