If that's the case, they should have just blurred it out on TV, and covered that part with a tarp or something when displaying it, rather than mutilate an important piece of Formula One history. This is THE most successful F1 car, EVER! Geez... we have similar laws here in America now, but you don't see us painting over all the Indy cars and stockers from the past that had cigarette logos on them. You can't change history just because there's a a part of it you don't like. |

Maybe McLaren removed it themselves as Marlboro subsequently had an association with Ferrari? |

McLaren removed it for unknown reasons (maybe because F1 bans tobacco advertising) |
