I'd say this is a Lancia Aurelia coupé (by Pininfarina?): http://www.italian-cars-club.com/le-site/Lancia-Aurelia.htm (scroll down half way). Edit: similar to this 1955 B24 S Spider with hardtop: http://www.ritzsite.nl/Lancia/04_LanciaCC.htm , except for the side windows, so the car in Il Vigile will be a bit newer... -- Last edit: 2010-07-18 19:17:54 |

I'm convinced by "Lancia Aurelia coupé (by Pininfarina?)" - the other choice looks as if the rear wing is too pronounced. Didn't expect any Aurelia to be so small and low alongside an MGA. |

Looks a little like this: Allemano Fiat 1100 Coupé: Link to "www.autopuzzles.com" |

I agree, this is a Pininfarina-bodied Lancia B24. Not a Spider, though; note the shape of the windscreen... It appears to be a B24 S Cabriolet (aka Convertible, actually a more practical successor of the Spider, introduced in 1955), fitted with the optional hard top. http://www.finecars.cc/typo3temp/GB/7287e203f7.jpg |
