Are you sure about 1956? Rear bumper came in 1954, and the semaphores were exchanged to indicators with the T2b model in 1955. |

No that was a guess from the licensenumber AA 2886, the series with A reached the limit in the beginning of 1956 so they began a new series beginning with AA. A-AA-AB was for cars registered in Stockholm city, B-BA-BB for the surrounding areas of Stockholm. This only gives a hint since the numbers were recycled frequently, and after checking I found out that AA 2886 was carried by a 1954 Singer during 1957 (I have a book with all the licensenumbers in the Stockholm area for 1957, giving the make and modelyear of the car + the owners name and adress. Unfortunately the bikes are not included) The film is made 1958 so this bus have received the licensenumber after the Singer, it could thus be a 1957-58 model if it was new or it can be older if it came from some other part of the country. About the semaphores, as far as I know they were kept on both the Limousines and the Transporters up til 1959. |

1955-56 are the only years of this combination with these taillights and the rear door, AFAIK. And yes, European models lost the semaphores MY 1960 both types, @Alexander is right about the US market, type 2 got indicators 1955. So as a company car this is surely a 1956 by the registration confirmed by @DAF555. |

Also very good visible here: the classic way to disembark of a VW Typ 2  The movement sequence stayed the same for decades, up to the T3, also for the 1st gen LT. If you are used to do that, be careful, when you have annother Van - if you don't think about, your face plant it. It happend to me, when I tried to disembark in this way from a Mercedes Sprinter...  |

License plate AA2886. AA = Stockholms stad. This number belonged to a 1954 Singer in 1957 (as mentioned by DAF555). |
