Maybe I'm reaching a bit here, but I'd guess an '87 (I know the G-bodies were all slightly freshened up for '87, just before they were dropped). |

No, it is NOT an '83. hiergehts is correct, It's an '86-88 Monte LS. |

Why is this 1986-88 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS.  I don't see CHMSL and the LS trim level was not available in between 1981-85 model years. I recommended this to list this as 1981-85 Chevrolet Monte Carlo pending upon dissent. -- Last edit: 2012-07-04 03:55:59 |

The taillights do not match the 1981-85. The border on the taillights surrounds the red and white sections, on the 1981-85 taillights, the border only covers the red portion. The "CHEVROLET" badge on the left side of the trunklid also matches the 1986-88 models, the 1981-85 did not have that badge. The side trim also does not match the earlier models. |
