This is a 1978 model. There is also another Peterbilt in this movie. It is a big white rig that only the front-left headlight is seen on, it is seen as one of the last rigs being gassed up.

The Peterbilt that you`re talking about is a 362 and is also a Bridgestone race-car truck. How about that. :)

What truck wheels do those under the red trailer belong to?

It kind of looks like it was one of the trucks that were blown up, like the Freightliner cabover or the International Transtar, the toilet paper rig.

The freghtliner and the International Transtar tractors had only 6 wheels.

Oh, I didn't mean to put that "another" in. I was referring to another, completely different truck in the movie with no relation to this one. So what I meant to say was: "There is also a Peterbilt in this movie."

And I've had enough of you! I have tried not to not call-names or be (too) rude, but I have to say you are such a loser! I am not gonna answere anymore comments you say unless you shut up the swearing.

The wheels belongs to the Autocar that was blown up when it tries to kill Bill, Brett, Curt and Connie when they escape from the Malibu wreckage. :hello:..... Be cool Explorer4x4 ;)

What company does it drive for?

I am not sure, but I don't think it has any company logos. This truck is rarely seen, in fact, this is the best view of it! I have counted 4 or 5 times where I have spotted this truck, usually, only the wheels, or maybe the back of it. But never the whole truck.

That is unmistakebly the color(s) that ESTES (or ESTEZ...EZTES.. whatever) used on their truck-cabs in those days. It would be quite natural for one of those trucks to be in this movie, since there is a warehouse and big company-sign right next to the gas-station. . :)

Nothing. As I recall this is the only appearance this truck makes throughout the whole movie.

the truck is a 1981 model,as it has to grip handles on the passenger side behind the door the only year they did that was in '81, it appears many other times cause it's back round so yes, from time to time it is seen driving around the dixie boy truck stop with the other trucks

If the door is the original one, i.e. it hasn't been changed after a crash, the door handle location (at the bottom of the door) indicates a 1980+ Astro (without 95):
