That's what I mean... I have never seen a minivan used for police duty in any capacity.

If only one dog is assigned to an officer, then I guess any sedan police cruiser would be sufficient.

Usually, K-9 units with one officer and one dog do drive around in a sedan. The ones where I live are Crown Victorias with the back seats removed and replaced with a special compartment for the dog in the back. You can find pictures online of some K-9 unit vans and station wagons. I have also seen some Chrysler/Plymouth minivans used by crime scene units. It seemed to me that they were pretty popular back in the 1980s.
