Main pic: smallest model of the 1955-59 Task-Force truck line, with the 1955 only fender emblem indeed. As 3100 (½-ton) pickup, it has the 3104 Chevrolet code. Thumb: as the wheelbase is not clearly visible, it could also be a ½-ton 3200 (i.e. "long" 3100) or a ¾-ton 3600 model. Both share the same 123¼"/3.13 m wheelbase and 98"/2.49 m bed... No white or black color to tell a 1955 emblem from a 1956 one, as both were made of chrome. But the location was indeed different, and so was the hood end emblem too. As the Fleetside bed option appeared only in 1958, the Stepside one has not to be mentioned for previous models like this one, as it was the only possibility. -- Last edit: 2015-04-28 01:51:41 |
