Actually, the company is based in California, but the vehicles are imported from China. |

So should it be Model origin U.S., made in China? |
-- ◊ 2011-04-18 23:48 |
No, why origin US if it originates from China and just sold in US through a company? Model origin: CHINA |

Depends if the company in US conceived the vehicle and then built it in China, or if they just resale the products created by a Chinese company... |

It's less likely, because the body comes from a Chery QQ/Daewoo Matiz. |
◊ 2011-04-20 20:22 |
Why do you say that? The ZAP is much smaller and has 1 less wheel |

I said this because you can notice where the body came from, they just chopped it down. That body can't originate from America. ZAP Xebra: http://sfcitizen.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/IMG_9859.jpg Chery QQ: Link to "rpmedia.ask.com" Daewoo Matiz: Link to "www.cars-directory.net" |

Ah what you are saying is that the body is styled after the Matiz. I though you were saying that it used the SAME body. Chinese cars are a pain in the ass, this ZAP appears to be modeled after the Chinese Chery QQ but the QQ's design is stolen from the Korean Matiz ![]() -- Last edit: 2011-04-20 20:32:27 |
