It can't be a 1978 model, as identified so far: the commercial agreement between White and Freightliner ended in 1975, with the return of the "Freightliner only" logo in 1976. Moreover, this kind of thin steel steps makes it a pre-1973/74 model, the late WFT trucks having an integrated ladder.
