1998. That's funny, I fit a 7ft tree in the trunk of my CV the same way one year.

:no: Not a good idea. So you have the ugly fir needles and the uglier tree gum in your car.

I prefer to use a trailer for the christmas-tree-transport. To hold my car clean. :D

My father was always using an old cover to wrap the tree. In a hatchback it is easier to carry than in a sedan, even a small one.

@Antoine: I'm used to own high-performance Sedans, made by Opel and VW - with removable back seats. :p

@benfolio: I know. But not only in Crown Vics, anywhere else, too. My brother-in-law is a cop-officer. He told me, not to buy used police-cars, which had been in daily use. For exactly these reasons. :D
