1½-Ton or 2-Ton? |

1941-47 'Art Deco' truck. As all models of this truck line have the same cab, whatever their ton-rating, it's here impossible to tell a light/medium-duty truck from a heavy-duty one without a view of the wheel rims. And if a 1941-47 1½-ton or a 1946-47 ½-ton Special (2-ton model with downsized payload capacity) / 2-ton version, the bumper shape is the only clue to identify a 1941-42 model over a 1946-47 one. -- Last edit: 2015-12-30 04:45:58 |

More likely a 1946-47 model as Norway was occupied during 1941-42, although few automobiles of the 1941 and 1942 model years arrived as private imports or as part of the Marshall Plan. |

You say it: a few 1941-42 models were imported, so the accuracy should lead us to give this truck the 1941 model year as default one... |

To me, it makes more sense to prioritise listing a vehicle by when it was sold new in the country, and then consider the possibilities of an earlier import if evidence implicitly suggests it as such. |
