1970-1971 The fastback bodystyle was designed to be aerodynamic and fast on the track, and to compete in stock car racing Ford had to build a production version. The Cyclone was the twin to the Ford Torino Talladega, and both were built as street cars in limited numbers. |

This is a 1971 Mercury Montego Cyclone. Driven and owned by Cecil Gordon (NO relation to Jeff) The twin to the Ford Torino Talladega was a Mercury Cyclone Spoiler...a 100% different car. The 1971 Monetgo was a regular production car....1000's were made...few around today except at car shows. |
