It's a 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS (SS was still a package on the Malibu model that year). SS in 1965 was basically a cosmetic and interior package, featuring a blacked-out grille, special hubcaps and rocker trim, and bucket seats with a bit of interior dress-up. They were available with every plebian six cylinder and 283 V8 available in every other Chevelle, plus a 350 horsepower 327 and the new 396 big block (only 201 built). The fender badge on this one denotes V8 power, but I can't read the number from here. It appears to be painted Cypress Green, which looks great with the white convertible top and very rare white interior. |
