The only way for foreign automakers to enter South Korea was to have a Korean partner company do the final assembly. Toyota came to South Korea, and teamed up with Shinjin, which manufactured several models ... Shinjin also built other Toyota models, including the Crown luxury sedan, the Corona midsize sedan, and the Land Cruiser utility.
