Dacias have Romanian origin, but here you can change this, if you want. -- Last edit: 2008-09-28 17:52:51 |

Most Authis are British + Spanish, lots of Innocentis are British + Italian, some Isuzu are British + Japanese (the Hillman copies), but indeed Dacias, Neckars, Seats, early Simcas and a lot other cars might need a redo ![]() |

Hard to tell, personally I would leave the origin of the country where the car is made under the licence, especially if we are talking about the past and especially when they were made under the different make. We maybe only should care about the "system" in which they were made - CKD, "big scale", are there any locally made parts etc. - and from this point of view, these Bulgar Renaults indeed can have French origin. But in other cases it is diffucult - for example let's say that we change the origin of the Dacias, but it will be a bit strange - the early ones will have French origin, and the later 1980's/1990's 1310 Romanian. 1310 was modified in Romania and since 1980's to the late 1990's rather without any French help, so deserves for that (though still looked similar to the R12). And something from today - Dacia Logan was completly designed in France, but somehow we don't think about such changes in case of this and many similar cars. Anyway in the case of these "Bulgarrs", the "made for BG" is not necessary, I think. Maybe you remember, we talked about it, and you have found that these cars were also exported. -- Last edit: 2008-09-28 18:39:31 |

Austria and Yugoslavia according to Wikipedia and DynaMike (at some different page). The "Czech" R8s were French. |
