This is for the red coupe. The overturned blue car is a 1955 Oldsmobile 88. -- Last edit: 2008-02-24 00:12:23 (G-MANN) |

These are the sad remains of a 1954 Pontiac Star Chief Catalina Hardtop Coupe (with the extended trunk compared to 1953 ).Some brightwork is missing here mainly around the side windows. |

It's a 1954 Pontiac, but it's not a Star Chief Catalina. The car is a 1954 Pontiac Chieftain Custom Catalina. That one doesn't have the extended trunk... Also the Star Chief Catalinas had 3 stars in place of the Round emblem on the rear tail fin. -- Last edit: 2007-01-07 09:19:41 |

Look close; If you notice, these two cars haven't really hit each other!!! The Blue & White car(1955 Olds 88 4dr)looks to have been pushed over on it's side -by hand- and the Pontiac parked against it? (If they DID hit, there would be a LOT of broken glass, leaking fluids etc, plus both cars would be rather torn up.They look perfectly intact.) |

That's because the whole of the spraying sequence was faked, the whole area was in on it, if you look when the soldiers collapsed, some of them do it late. It was intentional so that the audience could wonder if they're really dead. -- Last edit: 2008-02-24 00:11:38 (G-MANN) |

Since this Pontiac is a 1954, it is also a straight-8. Pontiac was the last GM marque to adopt a V-8-- they were alone with a straight-8 through 1955. |
