There seems to be some controversy about this car. Chassis #52HG ? GU6791 is a London registration dating from 1929. 1922, or 1925 Silver Ghost, by Barker or d’Ieteren. More to do. -- Last edit: 2023-10-01 14:58:26 |

This car wears engravings to either side of the bonnet stating the date as 1922. |

The wonders of Google...... Can this now be recorded as a Silver Ghost, as jfs has identified? -- Last edit: 2023-10-01 16:07:08 |

It certainly looks Ghost rather than Phantom, but then there is the the D’Ieteren or Barker conundrum. Those headlights look European to me, so maybe the answer could be: 1922 Rolls-Royce 40/50hp Silver Ghost Open Drive Limousine by D’Ieteren. Or not. |

Recorded on DVLA as a Ghost, but then......... I will see if I can confirm the chassis no. tomorrow, time permitting. |

What does anyone think that roof does? Tthe driver’s compartment roof looks fixed, but maybe the passenger compartment opens, although I can’t see any landau irons. |

It looks a bit of a shabby fit whether in 1983, 2008 or 2016/17 pics. Home-made bodge rather than original?? |

Confirmed as #52HG, as jfs correctly thought. |

"... GU 6791 registered car 52HG, which is a Barker" - from here. |
