The older grilles were discontinued when the Blue oval came out. Ford did this all of their older style grilles at the time. I delved pretty deep into this years ago and found some forum posts, I think I even posted them on here, where a parts manager confirmed Ford had discontinued them so that is why we see these mock up jobs. One could not purchase the older style from Ford unless there was NOS laying around. |
