The corner building in the background, Hausmann building, built over the railway station named at this time Gare du Luxembourg. Starting point of the "Ligne de Sceaux" , for link to south suburb of Paris (Massy Palaiseau, Vallée de Chevreuse)
In the early 80's it became a RER station with opening tunnel to Chatelet and Interconnexion with Gare du Nord .

The bus is probably the N°38 passing the fontaine and going toward Port-Royal on the Boulevard Saint-Michel.

I've lived for 17years in this building. :)

Respect for the nice location of living. Isn't it a premium arrondissement with premium prices?

Of course this is the 5th arrondissement (6th arrondissement on the other side of the boulevard - Jardin du Luxembourg) a very attractive area and of course very expansive prices ..but it's not the highest.

@Sixcyl, you must be the first person on IMCDb to have posted a capture of your actual residence. I was unfamiliar with the term “arrondissement”, so looked it up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ve_arrondissement
It seems you had quite a number of nice places of interest in your vicinity of Paris. I guess by your profile that you no longer live there though.

Hi Wampa-One! ..you've pointed something I didn't think about ... indeed, but it's almost a second time. Have a look on that picture: /vehicle_90268-Chausson-APU-53-1954.html

The building in the background behind the bus on the left is very likely a part of the same building , close to the 69 Bd Saint-Michel were my adress was :)

Yes , I no longer live there since 1987... when I went to Lyon (2nd bigger french city) , and where I stood for 16 years... Nowadays , I live in a smaller city : Lille (North of France) which is very nice and dynamic ... though the climate , it's a fantastic area... close to Belgium , Paris , London ... :)

Indeed, the area around Lille is nice -and as sixcyl said- easy to reach from the countries in its North. On some streets you have to think, if you are still in France or just in Belgium.
It's the only area in France, where I've been a few times (except Paris) - our French club-members are living around there. Last weekend I would have liked to go to meet them over there: http://www.bellesmecaniques.org/nouveau/le_6eme_fbm.html but it wasn't possible for me :(

...and not so far from Germany indeed !! (Aachen = Aix la Chapelle) about 2h00 from Lille by speedway. I've never been yet till there...

Ingo, you're welcome if you pass there one time... you can get my phone number by email.
Unfortunately I've missed the event in Roubaix the 14/15th :/ .. I was engaged in Amiens (140km south Lille ) were my girlfriend lives for this week-end (it was my turn to go at her house :D ...and she works on saturday 1week/3 ... it was the case that week end)
