No idea about which (Austin or Morris) was more common in Germany, but in a series in German languae (P.S. Geschichten über Autos) one of the main characters, referring to a mk II red Mini (with the Morris badge) says it is an Austin. This fact made me think that maybe Austins wre more common there. Nobody before the Innodenti (and even after) would have said so in Italy, where generally speaking most people referred to the "Mini Morris". |

I can't answer that for D, but generally I think more Europe exports were Austin than Morris, and in most cases Mk1 were 850 rather than Mini (or Seven). This looks 61/62+ for rounded perforations in wheel trims - first couple of years the holes were squarer - and has odd side reflector and larger over-riders than usual (which 62+ would be handlebars) - looks like French ones without the extra "Paris" guards. |
