We can get a lot from this screencap: it's London Transport RTL297, a Leyland RTL (based on the Leyland Titan PD2/1), registration plate KGU255, new in July 1949 with a Park Royal body, operating from Seven Kings garage (AP code). We can tell within a few months when it was filmed, it was almost brand new at the time, and it was transferred from Seven Kings in July 1950. |

Have I entered correct ID?? It's a Billy-no-mates as Leyland Titan PD2/1 ... |

Arguable. London Transport designated it 7RT! The RTL class was based on the PD2/1, but modified for London Transport, just as the RT was a modified version of the AEC Regent III. The point of the RTL was to take the same body as the RT. London Transport did also order standard Regent IIIs with lowbridge bodies, the RLH class. The RTW class, by contrast, was based on the PD2/3, designated 6RT by London Transport. It was 8 feet wide, and therefore not interchangeable with the RT or RTL. |

OK - switched to 7RT, where it becomes Billy-with-a-couple-of-mates. I just follow other people's footprints in the snow with bussy things ... |
