1987 or later due to new front end design and rounded bumper style.

I'd go for ***. It's the main character's car (Philip Seymour Hoffman) has two scenes and seen inside and out. And it's a Saab.

The car is a 91 900s auto it was originally white with a blue leather interior. there was a twin to the car used for the interior shots originally gray with a gray interior that car was a 89 5 speed turbo the movie script called for twin red saabs both cars were painted by me in western Massachusetts and delivered to the movie set in NYC. in 2 weeks time. The blue interior was also changed to gray.

Belongs to Andy (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) who brags about earning a six figure annual salary and yet drives this old clunker...

If he didn't spend so much dough on drugs, he could afford a brand new 9-3 convertible.

Maybe he likes this car and doesn't want a new 9-3 because it is a Vectra in a dress. ;)

Oy! Not the V word, mister. It takes more than a chassis.

Don't drink and post.

I still like that model (in spite of its chassis), but IMO stylistically it's not as nice as these ones (or even the NG 900/9-3 that came after). If I had a 900 like this and could afford a newer one I'd prefer to keep the older one.

Chutzpah, too. To disguise the fact, that the creator has no money and no ideas and as the main point no allowance by the Big Boss from Overseas to create something own.

Saab spent 100+ hours on one Gen.1 900, without GM they would have been bankrupt 20 years ago. But they rejected lowering their quality with Opel/GM parts and designed their own. Also the reason they blew up their partnership with Lancia: build quality not good enough.

The Saab 9-1 that was announced they should have had sooner. Smaller cars were Saab's history. Link to "www.trucktrend.com"

I was about to post something similar chico. Joking aside, the belief at SAAB seemed to be what was good enough for plebian Vectra pilots wasn't good enough for their own clientele. It's actually the biggest argument against owning a SAAB (at least here) as the parts for them are so expensive.

Fun fact of the day: Confuse pub bores who deride the NG 900 as being a Cavalier in a frock by informing them that it was actually based on the slightly different platform of the Calibra.
