Leyland RTW 433 was registered as LLU 583. New in September 1950. Bus expert to confirm as this is based on "looks like LLU 583?" |

It's an RTW, yes, and I'd settle for LLU583. In 1964 route 39 was split between RTLs from Chalk Farm garage and RTWs from Battersea, but this is definitely a wider RTW. RTW433 was reportedly at Chalk Farm garage until 1961, and moved to Bow garage after that - which makes me wonder if the footage is older than 1964, perhaps stock footage? |

Agreed - library or stock footage from the 1950s, Steve, evidenced by the advertisements on the RTW and maybe the policeman. You certainly know your London Transport; thought for a second the route might be the 59 but the location didn't look right. |
