Plate info doesn't match colour and needs unravelling. It's a Mark 2 from bootlid and badging, which was replaced by Mk3 in Sept 69. Mk2 was badged Austin or Morris; the only 1275 version was the Cooper S which is possible here - wheels look slightly wide; only has single filler, but not all S had twin. Have just found a reference that Mk3 Cooper S was announced in Nov 69, but didn't start production until March 70; in the meantime they continued making Morris and Austin Mk2 S for first couple of months into 1970. Total Mk2 S figures - Austin 2687, Morris 3642, so entering as Morris. |
