We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided BEDFORD OTHER 1999 Registration number: Q375JWY Body type: Flat Lorry Colour: Red And White Date of first registration: April 1991 ✗ Untaxed Tax due: 1 April 1998 Year of manufacture 1991 Cylinder capacity 330 cc Fuel type PETROL Export marker No Vehicle status Untaxed Wheelplan 2 AXLE RIGID BODY Revenue weight 10000 kg Date of last V5C (logbook) issued 8 May 1991 Q plates are DVLA's equivalent of the News Of The World - some facts may occasionally be reliable, but guessing which they are is as much luck as judgement. No whiskers on front panel, possibly early cake slice indicators (unless they're choc ices), big mirrors .... one for Sunbar to unpick?? |

TK Pretty sure this will be ex-army. In 70s army realised they did not need rufty tufty 4x4s for most transport jobs and bought a lot of fairly standard Bedford TK 's with the brush guard and military bodies. They would be around 10te gross. -- Last edit: 2021-01-05 10:27:33 |

05FJ65 was registered as Bedford TK 4 Ton GS. Agreed probably TK1000, in Stay Lucky, TV series the truck looks to me to be after 1976 by the silhouette red griffin badge? The wheel size does not appear to fill the wheel arches like the 20" they were probably based on TK E (TK1000) 167" Long Wheelbase truck, the only low load height trucks with the optional 17" wheels not the 16". |
