This is the Burrell 4 n.h.p. 5 ton Tractor, Works No. 3245, Reg.No. [AH 45] from 1910. --- You may ask, how possibly can I identify this machine and even read the registration number? ... Well, I have good eyes! ![]() Only joking! From the details I narrowed it down to being most likely a Burrell tractor and looked for pictures. I found one looking pretty good and with a man holding his arm up like on this picture. Of course I got curious and found a picture showing the combination with the Sentinel DG4 taken at the Great Dorset Steam Fair in 2001: ![]() This defines the second vehicle as the Sentinel DG4 Tractor 'King Arthur', Works No. 9097, Reg.No. [ARE 195] from 1934. ![]() The third machine in this picture, you can just see the wheels (identifying vehicles by their wheels somehow sticks to me ![]() ![]() --- If you like to see more pictures have a look at http://www.steamscenes.org.uk , an excellent page. |
