The (British) number-plate makes it a 1966 model ... but at the beginning of the movie (when the car is stolen) ..it shows the back of the car as a Jensen Interceptor series 3 (..not 1966.!!) |

The 'E' suffix stands for the time January 1st, 1967 to July 31st, 1967. That was the year when the start of the new letter was moved from January to August. The Mk.III is, as you said, a lot younger (August 1971 to December 1976), but this car is a Mk.I (September 1966 to September 1969). The position and style of the indicators and the bumper give it away. |

This car was first registered on 1 July 1967 and was chassis number 115/2563. It was last heard of in the USA in 1990, so it did survive some time after this film was made, but is, as of now, off the road and probably gone for ever... |

I have possession of said Interceptor: 115/2563. Currently undergoing a complete "frame off" restoration. Resides in Las Vegas, NV (Henderson), since approx. 1980. Expected completion is late 2013. Still has original 383 w/A727 Auto trans, Power 4-wheel Disc brakes, and "Select-a-ride" shocks. Will add new A/C unit during rebuild. |

This car had the left front quarter panel smashed actually the car was totaled going north on Central Avenue towards Thomas a maverick making a left-hand turn was rear-ended driving the Maverick into us. We were doing about 40 headed north it was1975 a rainy night. Last time I saw the car a few days after the accident it was over off Washington in Phoenix in a wrecking yard. yeah it was ,a 1967 interceptor number one |

Hi Deemish, Were you the Owner of this Mk1? Any info that you could provide would be appreciated. I bought the car locally in 1987. The Prior owners were an individual from Eagle Rock (LA) and First Artist Productions in Burbank, CA. I believe that Speedtrap was filmed in the Phoenix area?
