Looks like a 1955-1957 from this angle. Can't be sure without seeing the grille. |

I can tell by the cowl insignia that this isn't a '57. Also, I see a few more lugs on one of the wheels, which makes me doubt that this is a 3100. Maybe it's a 3600. |

I rather read 3100 than 3600 . 1955 Chevrolet Stepside 3100 pickup |

It's a '55 3100. A 3600 would be a BIG truck. This one would have 6 lugs. Also, '55 and '56 used the same grill. The '55 had the same hood emblem as the 1st series '55, (which looked like a '54), and the side trim was below the body line and painted white. The '56 had the same hood emblem as the '57 and the side trim was above the body line and painted black. The '57 had a whole new grill, hood spears kinda like the '57 car and a new larger oval side trim. Then of cource the '58-9's went to quad headlamps among other changes. I love these trucks. Can ya tell? LOL. |

1955 fender emblem and apparently short (114" / 2.90 m) wheelbase. So a 3100 indeed, which means a 3104 internal code. And part of the Task-Force trucks line. But no Stepside bed option, as it was the only bed possibility: Fleetside option appeared only with the 1958 MY. ⇒ 1955 Chevrolet Task-Force 3100 [3104] |
