Several Mini and Metro trim names followed same path - Mayfair, Kensington, Piccadilly, Chelsea, Ritz, Park Lane (you could almost build a Mini Special Edition Monopoly board). In some cases they were export only, so the names had cachet in Europe. Maybe it all started in the 1960s with Austin Westminsters??
