I think this is an early Leyland Atlantean - probably dates from the early '60s. The first prototypes were built in the late '50s. The green buses were the 'country' buses (distinct from the red city buses) although I haven't found a reference to one that looks just like this one. |

It's green because it's a Liverpool Corporation Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1, as you say fordtwo, MCW bodied. L501 (501KD) was built in 1962. |

Liverpool corporation mcw leyland atlantean, could be any of the L500 to L560 except L501 which had a deeper upper deck panel than that shown. -- Last edit: 2008-06-17 20:06:50 |
