Is there a difference between the Jeep Dispatcher and the AM General DJ-5 Dispatcher? /vehicle_58779-AM-General-DJ-5-Dispatcher.html |

Lack of sidemarkers (and "JEEP" stamped in tailgate) means that this is a 1965-1968 which would make it a Jeep not AM General |

Curiously, it has the rear sidemarker at the top side corner |

If a Jeep, as closed model it can't be nothing else than a 1968-70 DJ-5A. But it would then have a flat 7-hole grille. As indirectly noted by rjluna2, the fender side marker is just missing. The 5-hole rounded grille indicates in fact a 1971-84 AM General DJ-5x (with x = B to M, depending on the year and the engine), and some (most of?) AM General models also had the Jeep writing on the rear door. -- Last edit: 2015-07-28 22:08:00 |
