BMC 1968-1970) or Leyland (1970-) Terrier, Laird, Boxer, Clydesdale and Mastiff ('Pilot' cab design). BMC Terrier from the size of the wheel visible in the thumbnail, I would guess. Also from the fact that part of the longer name 'Leyland' is not visible so 'BMC'. -- Last edit: 2007-07-18 11:03:52 |

Not BMC Terrier but Leyland Terrier. The Pilot cabbed 'BMC' badged version never existed as the 1971 Leyland Terrier was introduced in August 1970 to replace the heavier FG trucks, the 700 and 900 FG. (Commercial Motor 28 August 1970). The Leyland badge is small enough to be hidden or has been removed. The Pilot cab was first used on BMC Laird - August 1969, followed by Boxer - October 1969 and Mastiff - May 1970. (The Albion/Leyland Clydesdale remained in production with the 'LAD' cab.) |
