Looks like it says Ranger F-100 |

rather F-100 Ranger, I guess, with Ranger being the trim or something like that... no? -- Last edit: 2007-06-27 18:07:55 |

Possible... Not sure... When you search on the web, you find the two possibilities. Anyway, not so critical! ![]() |

Yeah it was just a trim level back then before the compact Ranger was introduced. I just typed it the way it was written on the side of the truck but, like you said, the true name is F-100 Ranger. |

I agree with fordtruckman and jeepwagoneerman. It is 1980/82 Ford F-250 Ranger. Besides the wheel is too big for the F-100.... ![]() |

I agree, except that it's a 1980-1981 model as it doesn't have the Ford oval on the grille. |

Ooops, I meant to say 1980/81... |

To finalize it, it's a 1980-early 1981 model year Ford F250 Ranger Lariat. The July '79 to around December '80 F-Series and Broncos had clear turn signal lamps under the headlights. Around November '80 the turn signal lamps switched to an amber color. As far as the trim level, the Ranger badges and the cab emblems denote a Ranger XLT or Ranger Lariat. The seat trim in the second photo denotes a Ranger Lariat. -- Last edit: 2011-08-07 02:44:42 |

looks like it has the Lariat badge on the B-pillar as well, could you get the Ranger and Lariat packages together on the same truck? |

I edited my info, but yes you could. For 1980-1981, the trim packages were as follows: Custom, Ranger, Ranger XLT, and Ranger Lariat. Each trim level was a step up from the other having nicer standard features. Custom was the base truck, while the Ranger Lariat was the top of the line. However, each trim level could have the same extra options as the others. |
