220 w187, oops, are you sure 1936? the head lights look post war? we are missing the side lamps on top of the wings -- Last edit: 2008-05-26 20:29:48 |

I think samyuk's on the right track. If this isn't a W187 220 (1951+), I would be very surprised, whatever the owner says. |

Then the game is not fair. Contesters should find the oldest car. Couple with the oldest car wins extra gasoline. If this is not a 1936 (as they say), it's not fair... Other couple had the 1952 Chevrolet. /vehicle_176100-Chevrolet-unknown-1952.html -- Last edit: 2008-05-26 21:53:40 |

Indeed, I agree it's a 1952+ 220 ( introduced at the 1951 "Salon de Paris" ). |

it is a mercedes benz 220 of 1951 to 54 model year ihave owned 3 and restored others so i have a consierable knowledge of this type w187 the headlights are a dead giveway anyway as this was in fact the first model to have them integrated into the wings (apart from some special bodied ones) wheels look much too big though tyey all had 15 inch rims and 6.40x15 tyres the car on film looks way to big. |
