Very funny movie, kind of a happier, more upbeat version of "Dr Strangelove." I noticed most of the cars were slightly older than the time in which the movie was shot, perhaps because the shooting location was an artists colony and those were their cars. -- Last edit: 2010-01-29 01:49:22 |

Upgraded this comedy with HD captures, added few more vehicles and edited some tv boy's comments with his permission. Thanks. |

I believe the blue '57 Plymouth sedan is a bottom of the line Plaza, not a Savoy. |

I agree that some of the vehicles featured in this movie would have been considered antiques in the middle 1960s and unlikely to have been spotted on the street. The shooting location was the village of Mendocino in Mendocino County, northern California. I was a young teen in northwestern Washington at that time and very interested in older cars. My brother had both a 1949 Ford Deluxe sedan and a 1937 Harley-Davidson WLDR motorcycle. The motorcycle was certainly considered an antique rarity. Someone on my newspaper route had a 1938 DeSoto sedan, memorable for its age. |
