 The review on the IMDB says 1977, but I thinks it's pretty vague.! (Best to say somewhere around the late 70's/early 80's.!)

 The Bedford an Transit are a little to new for this movie I think, they better had used an older model of these vans..

 I think the filmmakers realised, DIEHARD - the Bedford has a fake registration dating from 1974.

Gently odd comedy drama, and great fun with some interesting directions ....

... so that by the end a man sitting in a floating armchair surrounded by floating tortoises makes perfect sense. One lead role played by

... Lulu who turns out to be a pretty good actress as well. Set in 1977 according to voiceover and filmed in Sheffield and Doncaster. Goof:

- Sheffield did not get tram system until mid-90s.

Upgraded with all pictures replaced on like-for-like basis, plus a few additions.
